Manchee's literary career began in 1995 when he started writing as a diversion from his stressful law practice. It wasn't long before he realized writing was his true passion in life. Between 1995 and 1997 he wrote eight novels, five of which have now been published. His first novel, Twice Tempted, was a legal thriller. His next novels, Undaunted and Brash Endeavor, are part of a series, the Stan Turner Mysteries. They are based largely on his experiences practicing law in Dallas in the 70's and 80's. In 1999 Manchee wrote, Death Pact, a romantic mystery. A third Stan Turner Novel, Second Chair, was released in June 2000. Manchee plans to keep his series going but will also publish stand alone novels in a variety of genres. He plans to publish at least a book a year for the rest of his life.
