Author Sue Owens Wright wouldn't be bothered at all if you said her literary career is going to the dogs. She adores dogs and loves writing about them. Her pup fiction, creative non-fiction and doggerel have appeared in The Bark; Dog Fancy; Byline; Good Dog!; Dogs International; and Pets, Part of the Family among others.
Sue makes her debut as a mystery novelist and cover illustrator with HOWLING BLOODY MURDER, the first book in a series that features (you guessed it) a dog; namely, a basset hound. Bassets are something the author knows a lot about. She's had six, five of which were rescued from pounds and shelters. She's also hosted an annual basset hound picnic in Northern California, where she lives with her husband and two bassets.
Sue is a senior columnist for Comstock's Business magazine, which has twice nominated her for the American Legion Auxiliary "Heart of America" Award. She studied fiction writing at Trinity College and University Galway in Ireland and University College London in England. She is a member of The Authors Guild, Mystery Writers of America, Dog Writers Association of America, PEO International, and Sisters in Crime.
