Shirley A. Prather has been writing for over ten years. It has been a long struggle to get published. But with the career move of her daughter to a London suburb in 1996 a new book was born.

Shirley is a retired computer technician for a large insurance company. She has had the desire to write since her early school years. But because of a large family and then the necessity to support them in her later years, it wasn't until a broken leg in 1990 gave her the opportunity to begin writing. Early retirement in 1993 allowed her to continue her avocation.

Shirley has two years with the University of Detroit in Detroit, Michigan and a Para-legal diploma from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
