When two hikers stumble over a teenage girl who has brutally raped and left for dead, the case ends up on Sam's desk. Little does she know she's about to be thrown head first into a web of lies and cover-ups that could get her killed. Burke manages to blend drama, suspense, chills and a dash of romance into a wonderful story that had me turning pages til late into the night. I read the book straight through in one sitting and it kept me guessing til the very end. I will definitely be in line waiting to get my hands on future books from the author. "Judgment Calls" is a great read. Don't miss it!
