Dangerous Undertaking is the story of Barry Clayton, who has moved home to Gainesboro, North Carolina to help run the family funeral home and help his mother care for his father who has Alzheimer's. Barry's life is populated with fascinating people, from Tommy Wadkins the sheriff to Reverend Pace the United Methodist minister. I especially enjoyed Barry's conversations with Reverend Pace. Dangerous Undertaking starts off fast and is a great ride for the duration, a 'page turner' that left me wanting more.

Dangerous Undertaking was so enjoyable! I hope this book is the beginning of a series. I really came to care for these characters and would love to visit them again.
