Ms. Riccio treats us to another peek into the lives of the Wiccan Circle from CIRCLE OF FIVE. We get to see how much the ladies have grown both in their faith practices and in their personal lives. Again it is a psychic vision from Cass that sets the ladies off on a crime-busting spree. Aside from the main characters from CIRCLE OF FIVE, in CHARMED CIRCLE we also learn more about Cass's grown children and see a bit more of that family's dynamic. We also get to meet a new character and I sincerely hope she re-appears in the next installment as well. Scruffy, Cass's dog, has his own psychic connection going on, with Cass and with a new dog character. I really liked Cass's ability to love and care for younger people, she is clearly portrayed as an Earth Mother in her ability to nurture. As with the first book, this book's setting is Plymouth, Massachusetts, and Cass's cottage by the sea will make every reader yearn for one. This book was just a nice visit with newfound friends and I hope Ms. Riccio lets us visit again soon.
