Rebecca DeMauro was born April 13, 1970 in Wichita, Kansas. Starting her professional life as a paramedic Rebecca dedicated herself to helping others. With the birth of her third daughter in 1995 she turned in her paramedic uniform and became a full-time mother. Rebecca has been writing short-stories, poems, and songs most of her life. LITTLE GIRL STOLEN is her first work of nonfiction about the tragic loss of her daughter, Andria.

Currently Rebecca is the Executive Director of the Andi Foundation for Children a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting children from predatory crime. Also involved with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as a trained volunteer. Her training has included becoming a member of the center's Speakers Bureau. Rebecca also aids parent's of missing children as a member of Team HOPE a crisis intervention program. Rebecca currently resides in a suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma with her husband, Kristofer and their children.
