Polly Whitney writes just about anything, given the chance. In addition to her "Until" series of New York City mysteries, which began with the Agatha Award nominated UNTI DEATH, and the "Farewell" series of South Florida mysteries that she sneaks around and publishes under the name Hialeah Jackson, Polly writes short stories that have shown up in magazines, in anthologies, and on award lists. And Polly went outside the mystery genre to write THIS IS GRACEANNE'S BOOK, an acclaimed coming-of-age story set alongside the Mississippi in Missouri. On her website, Polly writes daily "Pollecules," which try to be thoughts for the day, and draws Aschii caterpillars. The caterpillars are a bit difficult to explain, but they can be found on the author's website by clicking on "Da Fuzz." Polly commutes between New York City and South Florida. She was educated at Yale, but it doesn't show.
