Lillian started out in science fiction and fantasy and is now writing contemporary romantic suspense and mystery novels and mystery and fantasy short stories. They often feature paranormal themes. They always feature plots based on history and archeology. She enjoys exploring the way the past lingers on in the present, especially in the British Isles, where she's visited many times. While she doesn't write comedy, she believes in characters with a sense of humor.
Her romantic suspense novels have been compared to the work of Barbara Mertz writing as Barbara Michaels and Elizabeth Peters.
She grew up in Missouri and Ohio and has lived for many years in North Texas, in a book-lined cloister cleverly disguised as a tract house. Therefore she's developed a passion for mountains and seacoasts, especially the ones in Scotland. She's also traveled in Europe, the Middle East, and India.
She has a husband, two sons, and an assortment of houseplants she views as rentals -- he thumbs are ink-stained, not green. When she's looking for an excuse not to work she knits and needlepoints, reads, and listens to music, especially Scottish rock 'n' reel.
Lillian is a member or former member of SWFA, MWA, Sisters in Crime, Novelists Inc., and the Author's Guild.
