Lev Raphael was a prize-winning short story writer (his collection, Dancing on Tisha B'av won a Lamda Literary Award), novelist, and critic before turning his eye and pen to things criminous. Raphael has also won the Harvey Swados and Reed Smith Fiction Prizes and recieved International Quarterly's Crossing Boundaries Award for innovative fiction. He lives in Michigan and continues to write fiction, essays, and reviews. He is the mystery review columnist for the Detroit Free Press, and he appears on National Public Radio's The Todd Mundt Show. Lev also reviews for the Washington Post and Jerusalem Report.
I cannot do justice to Lev's wonderfully twisted sense of humor here, so please visit his web site and give yourself a treat. But don't show up without a doggy treat for Kobi!
