Karen McCullough graduated from Duke University with a degree in Spanish and Anthropology, and since then she has gone through several careers, including social work, computer programming and managing editor for a series of magazines for pet lovers and those in the pet trade. She is currently senior web editor for Cahners Business Information's home furnishings group, publisher of trade publications Furniture/Today, Home Accents Today and Casual Living.

Karen had written several novels and many articles and short stories. In addition to the electronically published novels you see here, she has had four novels of romantic mystery/suspense published by Avalon Books, a fantasy role-playing game book published by Iron Crown Enterprises, and has sold a number of short stories in the science fiction, fantasy, mystery and romance genres (and a number of hybrids thereof), mostly to small-press publications.

Karen lives in Greensboro, North Carolina with her wonderfully supportive husband. She has three grown children (who are also very supportive), two adorable, wonderful grandchildren, and a few near-children, not counting the hamsters, gerbils, birds, dog, cat and rabbit that have come and gone. In her spare time, she likes gardening, sports (baseball, football and college basketball), travel, guitars, and reading.
