A graduate of the University of Florida, J. B. Rivard has gained success in more than one career. While distinguishing himself as a research engineer at one of the nation’s top National Laboratories, he has also earned many awards as a painter and printmaker. He was elected to membership in the prestigious Salmagundi Club of New York City in 1983. He has worked as an assignment reporter for a national magazine, a deckhand on offshore workboats, and a political reporter for a small newspaper. He’s been writing fiction since 1990. He lives in Spokane, Washington.
