A veterinarian by training, Edie Claire practiced small and exotic animal medicine for several years before deciding she was better suited to a keyboard than a scalpel. Trying desperately to find a desk job she could acquire with her DVM degree, she began doing medical and scientific writing, and discovered that her love affair with words was more than just a childhood hobby. After branching out to marketing and corporate writing as well, she decided to try her hand at fiction, and her first mystery novel, Never Buried, was born.
In Never Buried, Edie makes use of the elements she most enjoys reading about herself: ordinary people in extraordinary situations, unsolved crimes from the past (preferably involving dusty black and white photographs), and spooky, rambling old houses. In Never Sorry, she takes advertising copywriter Leigh Koslow into new territory-a dark zoo in the middle of the night, which just happens to be filled with a rather scary specter from her own past.
Woven throughout both books is Edie's own brand of animal humor -- humor from the veterinary side. She hopes you enjoy them!
