A few words from David F. Winchester:

I was born in Spokane, Washington on April 17, 1946. I didn't start out to become a published author although I did get the idea for "The Innocent Corpse" when I was in high school and then forgot about it for thirty years. Instead, I did what most young men do, I went to college and graduated with a degree in business from Whitworth College in Spokane. For twenty-five years I operated a business, which manufactured and marketed gift items for babies.

An accomplished pianist in my youth, I hoped to pursue a concert career. However, a health condition persuaded me that business would be a better option. In the early 1990s, I decided to try writing. After I read everything I could find about writing in the public library, I got started-on a typewriter, my manuscript was accepted by SterlingHouse Publishers in Pittsburgh, PA. The book became available nationwide in bookstores in the spring of 1999. A second book in the B.A. Cole series, "The Identical Corpse," is planned for release in November 2000.
