I was born in England and lived in South Africa from age 3 to age 13. Then, tired of normality, my family chose an exotic destination: Indiana.

I worked as an aerospace engineer for some years -- on several Apollo missions and on the Viking Mars lander project -- and then switched to computer programming. I switched to technical writing for a few years and then back to computer programming, except that now it's called development, but it's really still programming.

I started writing ... I don't really remember when. But I didn't start applying myself seriously until sometime in my late 20s. Since then, I've written and published science fiction and horror. THE CAVARADOSSI KILLINGS is my first mystery novel.
