Chris maintains residences in Houston and in Hilltop Lakes, Texas. She teaches mystery writing at the Rice University School of Continuing Studies and a private Master Class in novel writing.

From advertising business owner to marketing consultant to writing instructor, Chris downsized her life to pursue her love of writing. Her work has won local and national awards. Her award-winning stage play The Tip was produced at Stages Repertory Theatre by Scriptwriters Houston. Her award-winning screenplay Mirror's Edge is being considered by a Hollywood production company. Her story Spare Change won third in the Mystery Writers of America 50th Anniversary Short Story competition and was published by Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine.
