When Jack Marston takes an administrative position at an urban college in Minneapolis, he doesn't expect to find himself involved in murder and suicide. Investigating murder just isn't in the job description. Jack is starting a new relationship, and his new job as head of student services. Then a student is brutally murdered and his records mysteriously disappear. Jack is tasked to liaise with the police and in the end, is forced to solve the murder to save a colleague and remain true to his obligation to the students of City College.
